Danny Simpson insists Newcastle must get back to winning ways against Norwich on Sunday after four games without a victory.
The Magpies are still sixth in the Barclays Premier League but either side of home draws against Wolverhampton and Sunderland, United lost in London to Tottenham and Arsenal.
And Simpson knows that Alan Pardew's men can't afford to continue dropping points if they are to secure European football between now and May.
The reliable right-back, who is hoping to be fit to face the Canaries after struggling through the final few minutes at the Emirates on Monday night, told nufc.co.uk: "We've got to bounce back from the last few games."
He continued: "Wolves was disappointing, Sunderland ended up working out pretty well but it was still only one point, and Monday night hurt because of the performance we put in over the 90 minutes.
"But we've got a home game against Norwich and we've got to look to take three points against them at home.
"They've had a good season so you've got to give them credit, and give them the respect they deserve for the way they've performed this season.
"But coming to our place, we really should be looking to get a win under our belts and kick on for the last ten games of the season."
