Haris Vuckic will hope to win his first full international cap this month after being called up to Slovenia's senior squad for this month's friendly against Scotland.
The 19-year-old has played for his country up to under-21 level, but although he has been included in the senior squad once previously - for European Championship qualifying double-headers against Faroe Islands and Estonia - he has yet to make his debut.
However, he will report to Koper ahead of the match on Wednesday, 29th February.
Vuckic is currently on loan with Cardiff City, and scored his first competitive goal in English football last week against Peterborough. This season has already seen him make his Barclays Premier League debut.
Other Magpies on international duty this month are Yohan Cabaye, Papiss Cisse, Davide Santon, Tamas Kadar, Joan Edmundsson and Shane Ferguson.
Cabaye will join up with France for a game in Germany, Cisse will play for Senegal in South Africa, Kadar is in the Hungary squad to face Bulgaria in Gyor and Ferguson is in the Northern Ireland party for their friendly with Norway - all on 29th February.
Davide Santon will be involved in Italy under-21's match against France in Cannes on the same day, while Edmundsson is linking up with the Faroe Islands in a training camp in La Manga.
