Newcastle under-18s celebrate a goal against Watford

Dave Watson has made one enforced change from the side which beat Watford in the last stage, as Newcastle prepare to face Queens Park Rangers in the FA Youth Cup fifth round (kick-off 7pm).

Defender Alex Nicholson suffered a muscle injury during the week so is replaced in the starting XI by Scottish youth international Steven Logan, who has regularly been involved with the Reserves since the turn of the year.

Other than that, it's the same team which overcame Watford last month and beat Nottingham Forest 4-1 in their last Premier Academy League outing.

Aussie Alex Baird is in goal, with Logan at right-back, Michael Riley at left-back and captain Remie Streete partnering Louis Storey at centre-half.

Marcus Maddison, who scored against Darlington in the third round, is on the right-hand side of midfield with Ben Sayer, Brandon Miele and Dennis Knight in the centre and Michael Hoganson on the left wing.

Fresh from winning the Algarve Tournament with England under-17s earlier this week, Adam Campbell starts up-front.

However, London-born striker JJ Hooper is back from injury to provide an option from the bench.

The other substitutes are Will Turton, Jamie Smith, Lee Toland and goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell.
