Newcastle United have finally discovered who their opponents will be in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
After defeating Blackburn earlier this month, the Magpies had been drawn against either Brighton and Hove Albion or Wrexham, depending on the outcome of their third round replay after the original tie at the Amex Stadium finished 1-1.
A frozen pitch saw the replay, scheduled for Tuesday, postponed until Wednesday evening and even then it took extra time and penalties to determine who would win through to face the Magpies on Saturday, 28th January.
Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell put his side ahead at the Racecourse Ground, but Ashley Barnes equalised for the Seagulls, and despite chances at both ends there were no goals in extra time.
But Gus Poyet's side triumphed on spot-kicks, scoring all five of their penalties after Dean Keates' attempt was saved by Peter Brezovan.
The tie will kick off at 5.15pm at the Amex Stadium, and will be televised live on ESPN.
