Newcastle will have to wait a little longer to find out their FA Cup fourth round opponents, after Tuesday night's replay between Wrexham and Brighton was postponed.
The third round replay at the Racecourse Ground has fallen foul of a heavy overnight frost, with an announcement made early on Tuesday morning.
However, there is still some hope that the game can be played in the immediate future.
A statement on Wrexham's website said: "We are hoping to rearrange the match for tomorrow evening (Wednesday) with a slightly earlier kick-off of 7.15pm.
"This has yet to be fully confirmed, but with a big swing in temperatures due on Tuesday night, confidence is high for play on Wednesday night."
Newcastle face an away trip to the winners of the replay, on Saturday, 28th January, kick-off 5.15pm.
