Long-serving goalkeeper Steve Harper is back with Newcastle United following his one-month loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 36-year-old played five games for the Seagulls, keeping two clean sheets for Gus Poyet's side.
He played his final game on Saturday when Albion lost 3-0 to Championship leaders Southampton - with two of the goals he conceded coming from the penalty spot.
Since joining the Magpies from Seaham Red Star in 1993, Harper has spent time on loan with Bradford, Gateshead, Stockport, Hartlepool and Huddersfield.
And he has made almost 200 appearances for Newcastle in all competitions, including the 1999 FA Cup final.
