Two of Newcastle United's young goalkeepers were in action for their loan clubs on Tuesday night - but both were on the losing side.
Jak Alnwick made his debut for Gateshead in their home game against Southport, with Magpies defender Jeff Henderson also starting for the Heed.
And it was all going so well as Jon Shaw and Yemi Odubade gave the home side a two-goal lead inside the first half-an-hour.
But three goals in the final 23 minutes, including an 89th minute winner from Vinny Mukendi, saw Ian Bogie's side slip to a second successive defeat.
A few miles south, Ole Soderberg made his fifth appearance from Darlington, fresh from a clean sheet in his previous outing.
But a first-half own goal from Exodus Geohaghon gave visitors Barrow a 1-0 win.
Kazenga LuaLua was back in action for Brighton, having missed their last two games, appearing as an 86th minute substitute in their 1-1 draw at Millwall.
