The club's Academy has welcomed two new youngsters on scholarship agreements - defender Lee Desmond and forward JJ Hooper.
Left-back Desmond, from Donaghmede, has signed from Cherry Orchard after United agreed terms with the Irish side. Second-year scholars Brandon Miele and Jamie Smith have also signed in recent months from the Ballyfermot outfit, which is renowned for producing talent.
Hooper arrives from Isthmian League Premier Division side Cray Wanderers following a successful trial, and the Greenwich-born striker scored a hat-trick against Chelsea on his Under-18 debut just hours after signing for The Magpies.
Academy Manager Joe Joyce told nufc.co.uk that he was delighted to bring the teenage pair to Little Benton.
He said: "Lee's a prospect who's come across from Ireland. It's taken a little while to get things sorted out so he's going to be a little bit behind the others in terms of physical fitness.
"He's missed pre-season so we'll be very careful with his programme.
"JJ on the other hand has been with us for three weeks now and was very impressive in his trial period. He did well during our tour of Scotland and last week we got him signed on a scholarship.
"And I think he showed everybody the qualities he has against Chelsea on Saturday, so we're really pleased to have both JJ and Lee here."
