Written by Newcastle Utd

Kick-off for games against Sunderland and Liverpool are moved to an earlier time following police request

By Dan King

The Magpies' derby clash with Sunderland on Saturday, August 20 will now kick off at 12 noon by police request.

And United's visit Liverpool on Saturday, December 31 has been moved from 3pm to 12.45pm.

Newcastle travel to the Stadium of Light for their second game of the new season and kick-off was originally scheduled for 3pm.

However the game has now been moved forward by three hours.

Police also asked for the Anfield meeting with Liverpool on New Year's Eve to have an earlier start.

Both dates remain unchanged.
