Newcastle duo Kevin Nolan and Joey Barton have been named in MATCH magazine's Top 50 Stars of UK & Ireland.

The midfielders have been in outstanding form for the Magpies this season, with captain Nolan netting 11 times and Barton chipping in with five of his own.

And their displays have played a huge part in Newcastle currently sitting ninth in the Premier League and closing in on retaining their top flight status for another year.
