Pic Special: Fulham v Newcastle

Written by Newcastle Utd

Action from Craven Cottage, where former United winger Damien Duff consigned Newcastle to a 1-0 defeat

After a first-half which, in truth, did not boast much in the way of action, the second period came to life at Craven Cottage - but unfortunately it was Fulham who carved out the majority of the chances and scored the game's only goal, through a certain Damien Duff.

Nile Ranger had The Magpies' best opportunity, meeting Kevin Nolan's knock-down only for Mark Schwarzer to make a fine save, and Leon Best headed over the bar. But by then, Duff has found the target - having earlier missed a virtual open goal - and Steve Harper was called into action to make a handful of other saves.

Club photographer Ian Horrocks, as usual, has the best of the action for this exclusive picture gallery.
