Newcastle legend Peter Beardsley will be in charge of the team when United take on his former club Liverpool
Newcastle United Football Club can confirm that Peter Beardsley will be in charge of team affairs with immediate effect, following Chris Hughton's departure from the club today.
Peter has been Reserve Team Manager since the start of the season. He will be supported by Steve Stone, Assistant Reserve Team manager at the club.
