Tamas Makes Magyars Debut

Hungarian star Tamas Kadar wins first cap, while other United players in international action are rounded up

Andy Carroll wasn't the only Newcastle player to make his international debut on Wednesday night, as Tamas Kadar also made his senior bow for Hungary.
The defender had previously represented his country at under-21 level, but was called up to their squad to face Lithuania in Szekesfehervar in a friendly game. And he was introduced at half-time in a 2-0 win.
Cheik Tiote was also on international duty on Wednesday, playing for the Ivory Coast in Poland, but was unable to help his side avoid a 3-1 defeat. He was shown a yellow card and played 89 minutes in Poznan.
On Tuesday night, Joan Edmundsson played the full 90 minutes for Faroe Islands in their 3-0 friendly defeat to Scotland.
And at under-21 level, Brad Inman made his debut for Scotland under-21s, playing in the opening 45 minutes of a 3-1 win over Northern Ireland. On the other side were United pair Patrick McLaughlin, who now has four caps for Northern Ireland at that level, and Shane Ferguson, who has five to go with his one full cap.
Paul Dummett also made his debut for Wales under-21s, appearing as a half-time sub in a 1-0 win over Austria at Spytty Park, Newport.
