United Off To Spain For Pre Season Friendly

Trophy Teresa Herrera at stake
Newcastle United will play RC Deportivo de La Coruna in a pre-season friendly at the Riazor Stadium on Tuesday 3 August 2010 - kick off 9pm (local time).
The match will be played for the Trofeo Teresa Herrera, which has been played for each year by Deportivo since 1946.
It is United's second visit to the Riazor, following on from the Intertoto Cup meeting in July 2005. Five years ago United lost both legs of that tie by 2 - 1, James Milner scoring at St. James' Park and Lee Bowyer in the Riazor.
Deportivo finished in 10th place in the Spanish La Liga last season with 47 points from 38 games, Champions Barcelona amassed an incredible 99 points.
