ENGINE-room architect Danny Guthrie has won praise from boss Chris Hughton after laying on another two goals during the midweek win over Scunthorpe.
The 22-year-old has now been the source for 11 United goals this season while also chipping in with five strikes of his own.
Andy Carroll was the beneficiary on Wednesday with Guthrie the supply line for his double; the first an out-swinging corner headed home from 12 yards, the second a cool finish from an exquisite through ball.
And Hughton said: "We know Danny is capable of that and it was a great ball for Andy's second goal.

"When Danny is on the ball he is able to pick that pass and make things happen.
"His delivery from deadballs is also very good and we've scored quite a few goals recently either directly or indirectly from his set-pieces.
"He's enjoying playing in the middle of midfield right now and he's doing well."
