CHRIS Hughton has hinted that Wayne Routledge and Jose Enrique could be set to feature against Scunthorpe United having remained on the bench during the weekend draw at Middlesbrough.

The pair had been passed fit before Saturday's trip down the A19; Routledge back from a calf strain and Enrique having shaken off a slight reoccurrence of a hamstring problem.

But having now benefited from a couple of extra days' training, boss Hughton told nufc.co.uk that the jet-heeled duo could return at some point during Wednesday's visit of The Iron.

"Both Jose and Wayne are fine and are available," he said.

"There was a point during Saturday's game when I could have brought Jose on, but I didn't want to use him that early.

"In the end we got the draw so I was relieved that we did not need to take that risk.

"It was the same with Wayne really in that he missed a period of time and we didn't want to risk him unnecessarily.

"Also, Fabrice Pancrate had done so well in the games before and we felt he deserved to stay in.

"But both Jose and Wayne have now benefited from a couple of extra days training and they're desperate to get back involved."
