NEWCASTLE United star Kevin Nolan has landed the FourFourTwo Player of the Year Award for the Coca-Cola Championship at the 2010 Football League Awards.
The 27-year-old was at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Sunday evening to receive the accolade.
Nolan has been instrumental in United's quest to regain Premier League status at the first time of asking and his 13 goals have helped to fire The Magpies to the top of the table going into the final 11 games of the season.
And the Toon ace said: "It's something that I will treasure for a long time.
"When I first joined Newcastle, there was a lack of togetherness between the players and the fans but one of the best things to happen this season is that we've got them back on board.

"We're now looking to the future together and we have to make sure that what's happened to this fantastic club never happens again.
"I want to make sure that when I do eventually leave Newcastle, the fans can't say I jumped ship. I want to come back in 10 years and be warmly accepted by the people."
