JOSE Enrique will return to full training before the end of the week, allaying fears that he could be set for another spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The Spaniard, who had only just returned from a seven-game absence, felt a tightness in the muscle during the first half of Saturday's win over Barnsley and was withdrawn from the action as a precaution.

However, boss Chris Hughton told nufc.co.uk on Tuesday that the injury will not keep Enrique out for a prolonged period.

"We're confident Jose will be back in training on Thursday," he confirmed.

"That is good news and it was a wise decision to come off when he did against Barnsley.

"I've said before how big a player Jose is for us, so obviously this is a relief."
