DANNY Simpson and Ryan Taylor are recovering well from the injuries they picked up at Preston on Monday night and boss Chris Hughton is hopeful that the pair will be fit for the weekend visit of Swansea City.

Taylor was seen limping from the warm-up at Deepdale and was forced to withdraw from the starting line-up because of a calf problem.

Simpson, meanwhile, was replaced midway through the second-half after feeling a tightness in his thigh.

But, with Saturday's game against the Welshmen still over 48 hours away, gaffer Hughton is keeping his fingers crossed that they are fit to figure.

"We will continue to assess Danny and Ryan over the next couple of days," he told nufcTV.

"We'll give them all the time they need but I'm hopeful they will be ok.

"They have been two very important players for us this season and it would be a boost to have them fit."
