THE local authorities are on the look out for our Toon mascot, Monty the Magpie. He was last seen wearing his kit at a bus stop chasing something shiny when men in green tracksuits and masks bundled him into a white van.
The van was later found abandoned at the end of a road. The only clue was a ransom note www.getyourmascotback.com .
Steven Taylor was asked if he had heard anything that could help... "Magpie fans we need your help - Monty the Magpie has been stolen and is being held to ransom. Someone said there is even a ransom video online!"
