KEVIN Keegan has confirmed that Guinea international Kamil Zayatte trained with the Newcastle United squad on Friday morning ahead of their trip to Arsenal.

The Magpie boss told reporters at his pre-match press conference that the 23-year-old defender had been on Tyneside but added that he was yet to sign for the club.

"We had him in training this morning and he certainly looks like someone who could improve us," said KK of a player who signed for Swiss side Young Boys Berne from French outfit Lens a year ago.

"He plays three or four positions and I like those sorts of players so we'll see where we go."
