Peter Ramage, Stephen Carr and James Troisi to part company with United at end of season
KEVIN Keegan has confirmed that Newcastle United trio Stephen Carr, Peter Ramage and James Troisi will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
All three players' contracts were due to expire this summer and they will not be signing new deals at St.James' Park.
Ramage, a product of United's youth academy, clocked up 68 outings in just over three years but did not find the net in that time.
And, while the Ashington-born defender was given the chance to stay with his boyhood team, the 24-year-old has chosen to seek regular first-team football at another club.
"We wanted to keep Rammy, but he wants to play regular football, and I couldn't guarantee that here," explained Toon boss KK.
"He goes with our best wishes, as does Stephen Carr, who's been a great pro for this club. He wasn't offered a contract and I explained the reasons why.
"James Troisi has also gone. He has gone to play for Australia in the Olympics, but he has not been offered a contract."
Carr, who signed from Spurs in 2004, made 107 appearances in black and white, scoring one goal.
Troisi, another academy graduate, was named among the Magpie substitutes on several occasions but never made his full debut.
