MICHAEL Owen moved up to seventh spot in the all-time Premier League scorer's list after Saturday's strike at Aston Villa.

The Magpie skipper climbed above former Leeds, Chelsea and Middlesbrough hitman Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink with what was his 129th goal in the English top flight.

Still at the top of the table is United legend Alan Shearer who netted an incredible 260 times, while another former Toon star, Andy Cole, lies in second place on 187.

Owen is now chasing Teddy Sheringham's total of 147.
