IF ever there was an intimate gig to be at - then this was it! Webbe, former member of boy band Blue, showed why he has become the most successful of his former band members with a consummate professional performance and a rapport with the audience which belied his youthful years.

Backed only by a guitarist and a backing singer, he was stylish and confident as he took the 200+ guests at the Stadium's newly refurbished 210 Club through a repertoire of his solo career.He paused only to introduce his support and - to the delight of the audience - wander among the tables to chat.One lucky lady was even given the opportunity to sit on his knee as he sang her a love song!

Conscious that this was not an all exclusive female event, Webbe also ensured that male members of the audience were involved from start to finish even giving United hero Peter Beardsley, who was enjoying the evening with everyone else, a special mention at one point.

And unlike many performers, Webbe didn't disappear as soon his performance was over.He rounded off the evening by chatting to guests,signing autographs and posing for photographs for more than an hour.
