NOBBY Solano is confident The Magpies can keep up their good run of form when they head to Anfield to face Liverpool on Boxing Day.
Newcastle have won six and drawn one of the 10 games Nobby has played since his return from Aston Villa, and the Peruvian is hoping to extend that impressive run when United arrive on Merseyside on Monday.
"It's going well for me," Solano told nufc.co.uk.
"I was disappointed to be injured when I arrived, and it took me a couple of months to get fit.
"I was happy to finally get fit to play, and we had a good little run before the international break in November. It took us a while to get going after that and we lost three games in a row.
"We had to work hard, and I think when we drew against Aston Villa at home we took a lot of confidence after ending that run of defeats.
"We did well in the Arsenal game, and we followed that up with another win against West Ham.
"The confidence is good in the team now, and we're gradually moving up the table."
Referring to the trip to Liverpool, Solano added: "We don't go there in fear of them, although they have had a great run of results recently.
"They have just been to Japan for the World Club Championship games, so we will have to see if they can carry on where they left off before they went away.
"We are more concerned about how we play, and we have done well in our last three games.
"We have changed the way we play a bit, but we have got the results. We all work very hard for the team, we're always capable of scoring goals with Alan and Michael in the team, and we're defending as a team as well.
"It would be nice for us to come back from Liverpool with a win, because this is a busy time of the season and we want as many points as we can to give ourselves the opportunity of making further progress in the New Year."
