Scott Parker celebration

By Ian Willis

GRAEME Souness admitted he was "annoyed" with Scott Parker after the midfielder fell off the disciplinary tightrope with his fifth booking of the season at Upton Park on Saturday.

The combative schemer was cautioned in the second half of the 4-2 win at West Ham, and as a result will now be banned for the Boxing Day clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

Souness said: "I am annoyed with Scott, because he got himself booked unnecessarily.

"He raced out of our back four and launched himself into a challenge.

"He misses the game at Liverpool now, and that is a blow for us.

"I'm not going to let it spoil my night though, we will enjoy this win because it was fully deserved."
